I have read a few books in the The Manhattanites series and I found it interesting to read about Lex at a younger age. This book is written in true Avery Aster fashion, there is plenty of humor, some drama, and lots of steamy scenes.

The Undergrad series is a New Adult series that is giving us great insight into the characters we have all grown fond of in the The Manhattanites series. In Love, Lex I can certainly see how Lex turned into the feisty lady that she is. I enjoyed getting a better picture of how Lex's life was before she lost her father and just how wild and crazy her life was. She wasn't so wild and crazy, but wow her Mom was.Lex has been through a lot in life and has came through it fighting and trying to make the best of life. A lot of that is thanks to her best friends. They always have each others back. I enjoyed seeing that the strong friendship between Lex, Taddy, Blake, and Vive started at such a young age. This group of friends is fun, quirky, and make an intriguing story.

I am anxious to see what Avery Aster has written for Taddy's story. I enjoyed her story in The Manhattanites series so I'm anxious to see what Taddy is up to in her Undergrad years. It is in my to be read pile and I look forward to reading it.

If you have had the chance to read the The Manhattanites series I think you will enjoy The Undergrad series as well.

I have not read many of the New Adult books but I find them to be very similar to romance books I've read with the characters just a little younger. So if you haven't read a New Adult book don't be afraid to give them a shot.

If you ever want a sure thing book, grab anything by Avery Aster!
It's no secret that I love this woman and everything she has written, but it seems the more books she brings out, the better they are.

This story gives you a better insight to Lex's life growing up, her weight issues, her friendship with her best friends and her first real love.

Lex is 17yrs old, and getting ready to embark on the best time of her life.
Her 18th birthday in Paris with her boyfriend, and her present? Giving up her "Lady V" virgin card. Or so she thinks, until she finds her pigtard boyfriend in bed with her mother!

One freak fire accident lands Lex, Taddy and Vive behind bars for Arson and attempted murder, their friendship is tested while fighting for their freedom, and so is Lex's hormones.

Officer Ford "God" Gotti. Dayum!
Think Dwayne Johnson meet Channing Tatum covered in tattoos and straddling a motorcycle.... Paints a damn fine picture for me ;)
The 21yr old new officer has taken a liking to Lex after pulling her and her friends over when a APB was issued on both Lex's scooter and Vive's limo for leaving the scene of a crime.
Ford bends over backwards to try helping Lex at every turn, while Lex is trying to bend over anyway for Ford. The chemistry these two display even in the grimmest of circumstances is electrifying and no surprise at all that these tho get it on.

A little quick, but still hot, I mean come on, "Channing - Johnson" f***ing you on a Daytona 955i? Incredible!

The blurb is what first drew me into this book. Avery Aster's blurbs are fantastic and her stories are too. Love, Lex is supposed to be a prequel of sorts to Undressed. It comes first in the timeline, so I read it first. I was surprised by how much information was packed into this book that'd already happened. So many things were mentioned and I was more than a little lost. It turns out there is another prequel that's the actual prequel, that I hadn't read yet. Go figure.

Thankfully, Lex, Taddy, Blake, and Vive were very entertaining. The situations they got themselves into were unbelievable! I loved their attitudes and love for each other. They were everything I wanted to be as a teenager. Heck, I'd love to have their personalities and lives now. I really liked Lex. I do think she got dealt a raw hand but I love how she handled herself with aplomb. Officer Gotti is hot! You also won't want to miss the book because then you'd miss him too! He had a very mysterious air around him and I think it just mad him hotter.

Love, Lex is hot, very entertaining, and even though I was a little confused about the timeline of the story, I was and am very intrigued. You can be sure I will be reading the new adult prequels Avery is writing for all of the characters and the novels for when they are adults. There's just something about the way Avery writes that pulls you in and wanting more once the story is finished. Knowing how close the gang is, I know I'm going to be seeing them for (hopefully) a long time to come.
Love, Lex was filled with outrageously funny, sometimes bitingly sarcastic humor, that had me truly laughing out loud, from start to finish.

Delving into Lex's mind, whether it was hot, sweaty, steamy thoughts, or her unwavering loyalty for her friends, was a refreshing experience I quite enjoyed.

This may have been my first foray into Avery Aster's uniquely descriptive writing, but I can guarantee it will not be my last!
